About Lauren
You can have the fulfilling life and relationships you want
Meet Lauren Timkovich, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Financial Therapist™ candidate, a relationship and financial therapist specializing in therapy for entrepreneurs, executives, couples therapy, and financial stress in Denver, CO and online in TX, VA, UT, and FL.
From the endless decisions, to the racing thoughts, the moments of panic, the stress you carry from day to day, the money worries that keep you up at night, to the unresolved conflicts with your partner….it can feel like there’s no way out.
You’ve likely tried to figure this out, yet something still isn’t working.
And at this point, you’re not just looking for surface-level tools… you want something that actually shifts.
My approach blends evidence-based therapy with real-life understanding. We are not just talking about your life, we are working in it. You are ready for something more focused, more insightful, and more effective. We’ll look at the patterns you’re stuck in, individually and relationally, and begin to understand not just what is happening, but why.
This is where we move beyond coping and into real, meaningful change so you can feel more connected, clear, and confident in your relationships, your decisions, and yourself.
Something isn’t working the way you want it to.
Let’s go beyond coping and into real, meaningful change.
What it’s like to work with me
I am a relational and financial therapist who understands the challenges of entrepreneurial life and the financial stress that is tied with it. I get how overwhelming and isolating it can feel when it feels like your business or job is managing you or you are stuck in the same negative pattern of interaction with your partner. It feels like you are trying all the techniques you can Google or Chat and nothing seems to be working.
I am committed to providing in-depth therapy that both supports and challenges you through meaningful questions, sharing insights, and recognizing patterns to cultivate a deeper understanding of yourself.
My approach is focused on helping you clarify your goals and work toward transformation and growth at your own pace. I understand that every individual and relationship is unique, so I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities and adapt my techniques to meet your specific needs and dynamics. Humor is an important part of my style, helping to lighten the process while keeping the focus on your goals.
My goal is to empower you to face challenges whether in your business, relationship, or in life with confidence, clarity, and a renewed sense of control, guiding you toward transformative and lasting change.
We are a good fit if —
I work with people who are ready for change, even if they’re not sure where to start. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a willingness to show up, be curious, and stay open to new ways of approaching old struggles. It’s completely normal to begin therapy feeling overwhelmed, unsure, or even doubtful that anything can really help. My job is to meet you right where you are, and help you find your way forward, with clarity, compassion, and a belief that lasting change is possible. Together, we’ll chart a path that makes sense for you.
We are not a good fit if —
Therapy with me goes deep - it’s collaborative, insight-driven, and focused on lasting change. If you're looking for quick advice, surface-level coping skills, or aren’t ready to explore the underlying patterns driving your stress, this may not be the right space for you.
I work best with clients who are ready to show up with openness and curiosity, even when it’s uncomfortable. If you're not in a place to commit time and energy to the process, that’s okay, this kind of work might be a better fit down the road.
My Background & Training
I am a therapist, wife, stepmom, dog mom to three very spoiled pups, and someone who loves meaningful conversation, personal growth, humor, and finding ways to create a life that feels more connected and intentional. I care deeply about relationships and the ways they shape us. The relationship we have with ourselves, our partners, our work, money, family, and the stories we carry about who we are. I believe people heal when they feel understood, connected, and supported along the way.
Before becoming a therapist in private practice, I spent years working in healthcare, child welfare, and law enforcement settings, supporting people through some of the hardest and most vulnerable moments of their lives. Those experiences deeply shaped the way I see people. It taught me how to be present in some of the most painful and beautiful moments of people’s lives and what it privilege it is to be alongside someone during those moments. We all deserve to feel deeply understood, safe, and not feel so alone.
Outside of therapy, I’m a bit of a social connoisseur. I love connection and experiences that make life feel meaningful and fun. You can usually find me spending time with friends and family, exploring a new restaurant (I love new recommendations), doing yoga, attending a sound bath, or curled up reading just about anything and everything I can get my hands on. I’m a big believer in bibliotherapy! I am a devoted Bravo reality TV watcher, and someone who will absolutely appreciate a great outfit or fun pair of shoes!
